There seems to be a flood of evidence now being generated through targeted scientific studies of Mars, that brings me sweet hope that Mars will achieve a colony before i die of old age. NASAs ongoing rover missions are supplying a steady supply of great information, and SpaceX continue to push boundaries with cheap recycled platforms.
Sometime in the not too distant future we will become an interplanetary species, and it is then that we will not only start making great strides in science, but have the potential of starting the process of lowering our footprint on this planet.
The curious ape is a migratory animal by nature, and it is space that will allow our species to show its true potential and limit its ecological impact on their home planet. The sooner the better for all of the biorta that inhabit this endemic refuge.
