The Rosetta Mission deserves a serious mention.

I was only a new user to Twitter when I found the European Space Agencies Rosetta Mission was receiving regular updates and a steady stream of information through the microblogosphere. From that point on I was hooked on Twitter and enjoyed the wide and diverse information that can be seen, heard, read and enjoyed. This combination may not have been the inspiration for my own blog, but it certainly set me on a path I would never have planned or expected to follow.

I realise this might be weird, but as soon as I read this article, I knew the Cloaca Maxima had to be put I my to do list.

An important step taken in understanding indigenous art.

This is a great article because it not only allows and reminds people of the importance historic Aboriginal rock art plays in the national understanding of self, but that it shows how much has been lost and needs to be understood concerning the migration of people around the world.

The scientific advances that have taken place to allow a more accurate dating record of these important images is just as interesting a story as the rock art itself. There are times like these when i am just that little bit more proud of my country for its amazing depth of history, and constantly evolving scientific fields.

I had to add this as soon as I saw it, absolutely fascinating.

Another important step in the right direction for understanding humanity’s complicated evolutionary path.

Another important step in the colonization of Mars.

There seems to be a flood of evidence now being generated through targeted scientific studies of Mars, that brings me sweet hope that Mars will achieve a colony before i die of old age. NASAs ongoing rover missions are supplying a steady supply of great information, and SpaceX continue to push boundaries with cheap recycled platforms.

Sometime in the not too distant future we will become an interplanetary species, and it is then that we will not only start making great strides in science, but have the potential of starting the process of lowering our footprint on this planet.

The curious ape is a migratory animal by nature, and it is space that will allow our species to show its true potential and limit its ecological impact on their home planet. The sooner the better for all of the biorta that inhabit this endemic refuge.
